As we are only a few days away from Christmas Day now, it seems worth asking more specifically, why exactly did Jesus come?
We instinctively know the answer as believers. I suspect most of us would jump to something about him being saviour and paying for sin. And, without question, Jesus certainly did come for both to be saviour and pay for sin.
But the Bible offers many reasons why Jesus came. He didn’t come to do only one thing, but to do many things all at the same time. Rather than post something new, I thought I would link to an old post of mine today listing many of the different reasons scripture gives as to why Jesus came.
