I’m not quite sure why this story has reemerged. I saw it on the BBC News at 10 last week. But it has also made its way onto the BBC website.
The reason I am perplexed is because this story was run in the Guardian back in July last year. I even wrote a piece on this very story, linking a similar phenomenon among Northern Irish loyalist paramilitaries (read it here). The comparison is by no means identical, but it was strikingly similar which prompted me to write about it before.
Anyway, here is a new video from the BBC. It shows how many gang members in El Salvador are coming to Christ in prison.
