As Halloween is fast approaching, I thought it might be worth outlining why we don’t celebrate Halloween in our family. In fact, no church I have ever been involved in did it either. I think that position is about right. But rather than reinvent the wheel and explain it all over again, I thought I would re-post some older articles outlining the logic.
I know there are a variety of different positions on this issue. I don’t want to fall out with anyone who does different to me. It is before your own master that you stand or fall, and that master certainly isn’t me! But these are some of the reasons why we don’t jump in.
