Top posts of 2023 (5-1)

Yesterday, I shared the first half of my most viewed posts of 2023 running from number 10 to number 6. Today, I am going to share with you the top five posts of 2023; the most read posts this year.

One again, it gives me an opportunity to say thank you for reading. I am grateful to everyone who has interacted with what I have written here. Whether you agree or you don’t, thank you for taking the time to read. As I mentioned yesterday, I am neither expecting nor aiming for total agreement with the things I write here. I have the much more modest aim of wanting to be broadly interesting and to make you think a bit.

I am also grateful to those of you who comment. Your comments serve me in two particularly helpful ways. First, they challenge my thinking and cause me to think more deeply about what I have written. This sometimes means I need to change my mind or that I need to say more to properly make my case. All comments – whether agreeing or disagreeing – are usually helpful in this regard. Second, you provide me with more blog fodder. The hardest thing about blogging is content creation and knowing what to write so it is always helpful when people disagree because it usually means there is something more to write on the same subject, either because it wasn’t covered originally or there has been a misunderstanding. So please, if you are willing and able, do comment here – it is particularly helpful to me.

So, with that said, here are the top five most read posts written in 2023.
