Leave the New Atheists alone on their holy days

As we are coming up to Christmas, it is worth remembering that this is not only a special holiday for Christians. As it happens, it is also a very sacred time of year for Atheists. Along with Easter, Christmas is one of their two most holy days.

As such, and in light of the fact that we are already beginning to see the usual pre-Christmas claims aiming at undermining the faith of believers, I thought I would re-share this post looking at the core tenets of Fundamentalist Atheism and why both Christmas and Easter represent their most special times of the year.

This is also a polite reminder to believers that it is generally a bit rude and unkind to lambast people’s religious beliefs during their sacred festivals – we can take up whatever argument we might have with them another time – and so, whatever you do this Christmas, we really ought to let them be during their most holy time of year.

  1. nothing like false claims from Christians. Sorry, dear, atheism isn’t a religion. Atheism is a conclusion that a particular god or gods dont’ exist. You are an atheist too, since you are quite sure that no other gods but your own exist.

There is no god, and I can’t hate that which doesn’t exist. I can hate the lies, fear and ignorance your cult spreads. Curious how christians can’t even agree on which version of their religion is the right one e.g. bearing the “good” fruit.
