Funded seminary training @ Oldham still available

We are still continuing to seek out candidates to join us on placement at Oldham Bethel Church for September 2018. We have opportunities available on the North West Partnership training course as well as funded placements on the Union School of Theology Graduate Diploma. We are also able to offer our own in-house Urban Ministry Training Programme. Full details of all the courses can be found at our website training pages.

Our training is entirely flexible and can be tailored to the individual based on prior experience and current circumstances. Whilst you would be expected to raise some of your own living expenses, we can provide some subsistence grant alongside covering the course fees. We have the potential to provide some accommodation for appropriate candidates too.

On placement, you will learn how to deliver Bible studies and sermons to multicultural, multilingual groups as well as gaining opportunities to understand issues facing asylum seekers, immigrants and indigenous working class people. You will gain experience of one-to-one study, be trained in apologetics and given hands-on opportunities to serve and lead evangelistic outreach. You will learn to deliver evangelistic talks, be given opportunities to hold apologetic discussion with groups and individuals and be given a variety of ministry opportunities to provide a wide-ranging and fulsome training programme.

If you are interested in applying, please get in touch using the contact form at the top of this blog. To apply, we would require from you:

  1. A ministry CV detailing ministry and church experience to date
  2. A covering letter including your testimony of how you came to faith, a statement as to why you would like to join us, what you would bring to the role, what you would like to gain from a placement and why you think you would be a good fit for us
  3. A completed copy of our minister’s profile (available on application) outlining your views on a range of doctrinal issues
